Legal services, with the price up front.

Most of our work is on a fixed fee agreed in writing before we start. Where we can't fix a fee, we give you a clear estimate and tell you before it changes.

Practical commercial advice for founders and owner-managed businesses, from the first contract to the eventual sale.

What we do

  • Terms and conditions
  • Shareholder and partnership agreements
  • Buying or selling a business
  • Investment rounds
  • Supplier and customer disputes
  • Intellectual property licensing

Common questions

How quickly can you review a contract?

Most standard commercial contracts are reviewed within three working days. If you have a deadline, tell us and we will plan around it.

Do you work with start-ups?

Yes. We offer a fixed-fee start-up pack covering incorporation documents, founder agreements and website terms.

Ask about business

We act for employers and senior employees. We prefer to solve problems early, and we're ready to go to tribunal when that's the right answer.

What we do

  • Contracts and staff handbooks
  • Disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Redundancy and restructuring
  • Settlement agreements
  • Tribunal claims
  • Restrictive covenants

Common questions

My employer has offered me a settlement agreement. What now?

You must get independent legal advice for it to be binding. Your employer usually contributes to the cost, and we can often advise within 48 hours.

Can you write our staff handbook?

Yes. We draft handbooks on a fixed fee and offer an annual update service as employment law changes.

Ask about employment

Leases, purchases and disputes for offices, shops, restaurants and industrial units across London and the South East.

What we do

  • New leases and renewals
  • Assignments and sub-lettings
  • Purchases and sales
  • Rent reviews
  • Dilapidations
  • Landlord and tenant disputes

Common questions

How long does a commercial lease take?

Typically four to eight weeks, depending on the landlord and any works. We give you a realistic timetable at the start.

Can you act for both landlord and tenant?

No. To avoid a conflict of interest we act for one side only.

Ask about commercial property

Planning ahead for your family with care and on fixed fees, and helping executors when someone has died.

What we do

  • Wills and mirror wills
  • Lasting powers of attorney
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Trusts
  • Inheritance tax planning
  • Court of Protection applications

Common questions

Can you visit me at home?

Yes. For clients who can't easily travel, we can arrange a home or hospital visit within London.

How much does probate cost?

We quote a fixed fee once we understand the estate. Most straightforward estates fall between £2,500 and £4,500 plus VAT.
